The University of Tulsa women's rowers will race at the Tenth Annual Head of the Iowa Regatta Sunday, October 29. The races are hosted by the University of Iowa and will be held at Lower City Park, in Iowa City. The race features over 1,100 competitors, which includes events for men, women, lightweight, novice and masters rowers, as well as one event for mixed crew.

The Hurricane will race their novice and varsity boats, each consisting of four and eight crew skulls.

This year's Head of the Iowa Regatta has increased in popularity, with 79 more boats entered than last year. This year's race will feature college/university teams and club teams. In addition to Tulsa, some of the universities attending are Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Texas, and Wisconsin.
