Three Tulsa women's soccer players netted goals for the Golden Hurricane in a 4-0 win over Arkansas State on Friday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. TU moved to 5-1 on the season, while ASU fell to 3-2-2 overall.

"I thought it was a good win," Head Coach Kyle Cussen said. "We played well. We just wanted to be consistent tonight and I thought we were. We came out and played with a lot of energy. I thought we played well from the start. We got up 2-0 at halftime and then just kept playing well. We were able to play a lot of people and even when we subbed, they came in and played well tonight. It was a complete performance to I was glad we came out with some energy and fire from the start. We said we wanted to win the midfield and we did, and that resulted in a couple goals."

Caitlin Jancuska put the Golden Hurricane on the board early as she headed in a corner kick taken by Jordan O'Brien at the 4:53 mark. In the 14th minute Bradi Hinch gave TU a two-goal cushion as she chipped in a goal off a cross from Alexa Sidorakis.

Hinch scored again in the 51st minute off a corner taken by O'Brien, and then Claire Nicholson scored for the first time this season in the 58th minute off a combination from Sidorakis and Lauren King.

Nicholson and Kajal Parmar led the TU attack with five shots, while Siorakis and Hinch had two attempts. Hayley Harryman logged 71:24 in goal and had three saves, while Marleigh Essler finished the contest and had one save.

Tulsa had an 18-8 lead in shots, including a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal, and a 9-2 lead in corner kicks.

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 13th against 13th-ranked Penn State. Game time is set for 1:00 pm at the Hurricane Stadium.
