Houston, Texas - The University of Tulsa women's soccer team battled Houston to a double-overtime 0-0 tie on Friday night at the Carl Lewis Complex in Houston, Texas. TU moved to 6-4-2 on the season and 1-1-1 in Conference USA, while UH moved to 4-5-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the league.

The parity in the contest was made even more evident, as the box score revealed identical numbers for both teams in every statistical category. Both teams attempted 11 shots, had two shots on goal, took three corner kicks and had 17 fouls.

Shannon Locke and Danielle Hughes each had one shot on goal for Tulsa, while Kendall Harclerode picked up both saves.

"We were a bit unlucky, but we have to take care of our chances," Head Coach Kyle Cussen said. "I am really proud of the team and the fact that they are disappointed in the tie shows a lot about the growth and mentality of the team."

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, when the Golden Hurricane will take on Rice at the Rice Soccer & Track Stadium in Houston. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
