The Tulsa women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to eighth-ranked UCF on Friday night at the UCF Soccer Complex in Orlando, Fla. TU fell to 6-5-2 on the season and 1-3-1 in Conference USA, while the Knights moved to 10-2-1 overall and 4-1 in the league.

"This was the best our midfielders have played all year long," Head Coach Kyle Cussen said. "We did a good job defensively and in holding possession. When playing a team like this you have to do all the little things right and for the most part we did. The team had a quiet focus tonight, and went out and did their job and played really well. I am excited about Sunday and us moving forward if we can play this well on a regular basis."

"Raven and Jordan played really well in the midfield, and Hayley did a great job in goal. I am proud of everyone, but those three really kept us in the game, but that doesn't diminish anything everyone else did tonight because everyone played well."

Nicolette Radovcic scored the game-winner at the 42:22 mark from inside the box to give UCF a 1-0 lead heading into the break. Tishia Jewell made it 2-0 as she punched in a cross from Sokhara Goddall in the 72nd minute.

Jordan O'Brien, Claire Hulcer, Raven Tatum and Stephanie Aitken each had one shot in the contest, while Hayley Harryman logged all 90 minutes between the posts and recorded nine saves.

The Knights had a 17-4 lead in shots, including 11 shots on goal, and a 3-2 lead in corner kicks.

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 7th against Southern Miss. Game time is set for 1:00 pm in Hattiesburg, Miss.
