Rebecca Handley, Jordan O'Brien and Camille Pelley each scored a goal for Tulsa to give the Golden Hurricane a 3-0 win over Memphis on Friday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. TU moved to 9-5-3 on the season and 4-3-2 in Conference USA, while the Tigers fell to 9-7 overall and 5-4 in the league.

"The girls have been playing really well," Head Coach Kyle Cussen said. "We've had a great week of practice. This week reaffirmed that this is a special team. We came out and played together as a team. We came out and stuck to our game plan, and in halftime we just got refocused and back to playing how we wanted to play. We were able to get the two goals early in the second half, and then Cammy finished it off."

The first 45 minutes ticked off the clock and the teams went into the lockerroom tied, 0-0, but Tulsa came out fired up in the second half and scored two quick goals. Handley hit the game-winner at the 50:02 mark as she punched in a goal from 22 yards out up the middle off an assist from Lexis Learmonth. O'Brien drilled in a goal in the 52nd minute as she scored from 30 yards out for her first goal of the season, and then Pelley added a third goal for TU as she hit the back of the net from 10 yards out on the left side with Claire Nicholson on the assist.

O'Brien had a team-best five shots, while six others had one attempt in the contest for TU. Hayley Harryman logged all 90 minutes between the posts, recorded six saves and earned her third shutout on the year.

Memphis had a 13-11 lead in shots, including and 8-5 lead in shots on goal, and the Tigers had a 3-1 lead in corner kicks.
