Tulsa Women's Soccer Adds Transfer for 2013 Season
April 24, 2013
Tulsa, Oklahoma -Tulsa Head Coach Kyle Cussen announced the addition of Tine Schryvers to the women's soccer roster, marking the ninth newcomer to the team for the 2013 campaign. Schryvers transfers to TU after having played her freshman season at Memphis.
"With her year of NCAA and Conference USA experience, combined with her international experience, she brings a lot to the table," Cussen said. "She was the second leading goal-scorer for Memphis last year, with six goals, and bringing in a goal-scorer like that adds a lot to our team dynamic. She was someone we scouted against and had to account for when we played against Memphis, and now other teams will have to do the same for her at TU."
Schryvers is from Antwerp, Belgium, and played for the Leonardo Lyceum, as well as the U19 Belgium squad during the European Championships. She played for five years with the Belgium National Team and went to the finals of the European Championships in 2011.
At Memphis, Schryvers started in 11 of 18 games, scored six goals, including two game winners, and picked up one assist for 13 points.
