Tulsa Women's Soccer Team to Visit Four Countries; Play Eight Games this Spring
May 7, 2014
Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's soccer team will visit England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and will compete in eight soccer games in 12 days as part of the Soccer Experience Cultural, Educational and Training Tour this spring.
"Of course everyone is very excited about this opportunity," Head Coach Kyle Cussen said. "We have made a commitment that this type of trip is part of the college experience for our players. We went to Spain five years ago and now we are going to the United Kingdom. Not only will we get to compete against some great international competition, but we will be able to see some English Premier League venues, tour castles and experience many cultural activities. I was told a long time ago that education happens with more than just books and this will be a great hands-on way to experience Europe."
