Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa women's soccer team opens the 2012 season against Weber State on Friday, August 17th beginning at 7:30 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, while all youth (under 8th grade) wearing a soccer jersey get in free.

TU returns 18 letterwinners, including 10 starters and its top six point scorers from a year ago. Claire Nicholson and Lindsay Kirch were the top-two goal scorers with five apiece, while Jordan O'Brien picked up a team-leading six assists. Katie Bykowski, a three-year starter, also returns to the net as she has 247 saves, 19 shutouts and a career 1.16 goals-against average.

WSU posted a 6-10-3 overall record and returns 10 letterwinners, including six starters, from last season.

This will be the first meeting between the Golden Hurricane and Wildcats.
