Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa women's soccer team returns to action this weekend as they host the Holiday Inn City Center Tulsa Invitational, featuring Missouri State, UMKC, Oral Roberts and TU. The Golden Hurricane will take on Missouri State on Friday, August 29th beginning at 7:30 pm, and then will face UMKC on Sunday, August 31st at 7:00 pm. TU will also host a neutral site game between Oral Roberts and Missouri State on Sunday beginning at 4:00 pm.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, while all youth (under 8th grade) wearing a soccer jersey get in free.

The Golden Hurricane enters the tournament with a 2-0 record after topping Abilene Christian and Arkansas State by 1-0 scores last weekend. Rachel Thun and Lauren King each had one goal, while Madison Smith picked up two assists. Courtney McKeon and Marleigh Essler each played one game in goal and earned a shutout.

Missouri State posted a 1-1 mark a week ago, falling to UMKC (1-0) and topping Utah State (2-0). Molly Huber and Brooke Zimmerman each netted a goal, and Jessica Perry picked up 12 saves.

The Kangaroos went 1-1 in the opening weekend, defeating Missouri State (1-0), but falling to Central Arkansas (1-0). Kara Priest scored their lone goal on the season, while Nina Tzianos played all 180 minutes between the posts and earned eight saves.

The Golden Eagles fell to both Utah (2-0) and 17th-ranked Texas Tech (5-0) to begin the season 0-2. Maddie Rhodes had 10 saves in the two contests.
