Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa women's soccer team will host the Tulsa Invitational on Friday, August 31st and Sunday, September 2nd at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. TU will take on Missouri State beginning at 5:30 pm on Friday and Northwestern State at 4:30 pm on Sunday.

The Golden Hurricane is off to a 2-1 start this season, posting shutout victories over Weber State (3-0) and Nicholls State (7-0), and falling to 13th-ranked Notre Dame (2-0). Claire Nicholson has a team-leading four goals and eight points, while Stephanie Aitken and Camille Pelley each have two goals and two assists for six points, and Rebecca Handley has two goals for four points.

Katie Bykowski and Hayley Harryman have split time in goal this season. Bykowski has recorded two shutouts and three saves, while Harryman has seven saves.

MSU enters the contest with a 2-3 overall record, and are led by Shelby Stewart and Michelle Sommer with two goals apiece. Chelsea Voet has logged all 450 minutes between the posts, picked up two shutouts and has 16 saves, while allowing 1.2 goals per game.

The Demons have a 1-1 mark heading into the weekend, but will face Oral Roberts on Friday before making the trip across town to face TU on Sunday. Northwestern State is led by Yanci Johnson with two goals, while Brooke Bourbonais has played both games in the net, has 13 saves and is allowing 3.0 goals per game.

The Golden Hurricane has a 7-5-2 advantage in the series with the Bears, while NSU has a 3-2 lead in the series over Tulsa.
