Tulsa Women's Soccer Team to Host Murray State on Friday

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa women's soccer team will host Murray State this Friday, Sept. 3rd beginning at 7:35 p.m. and then take on Missouri State on Sunday, Sept. 5th beginning at 1:00 p.m. Both contests will be held at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium on the TU campus. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for youth (12 and under).
The first 100 Golden Hurricane fans at the game on Friday will receive a free Tulsa license plate, while the first 100 fans at the game on Sunday will receive a free mouse pad.
TU enters the weekend with a 3-1 overall record as the Golden Hurricane has out-scored its opponents, 13-2, in the first four contests. Tulsa freshman Claire Nicholson is leading the way for TU, posting four goals for eight points. Sophomore Stephanie Aitken is one point back with three goals and one assist, while freshman Kelsey Killion has one goal and two assists for four points. Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Bykowski has earned 10 saves and posted two shutouts on the season.
The Racers enter the contest with a 1-1-2 overall record, with their one victory coming against Alabama A&M in overtime. Goalkeeper Tara Isbell has played every second in goal, picking up 15 saves and earning three shutouts in the four contests.
The Bears enter the weekend with a 2-1 record, but will have faced Oral Roberts before making the trip across town. Missouri State has tallied six goals, including two apiece by Rachel Weimer, Brooke Williams and Tiffany Laughlin.
This will be the first meeting between Tulsa and Murray State, while the Golden Hurricane has a 6-5-1 advantage in the series with the Bears.
