Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa men's and women's soccer teams continue conference play this Friday in a soccer doubleheader at McAuliffe Field (6501 S. Garnett). The TU women squares off against Nevada at 5:00 p.m., while the Hurricane men's team follows at 7:35 p.m. against Eastern Illinois. Admission to the event is free.

The Tulsa women (7-5-1, 2-2 WAC) hosts Nevada (3-9, 0-3 WAC) in a first time meeting between the two teams. The Wolf Pack is in its first season of women's soccer. Tulsa sophomore Julie Twellman returns to the lineup after sitting out TU's last two contests with an ankle injury. Twellman leads the Golden Hurricane in scoring this season with nine goals and three assists for 21 points.

The TU men's squad (7-4, 2-2 MVC) will have its hands full against Eastern Illinois (9-1-1, 3-1 MVC). The Panthers boast the nation's leading scorer in freshman Jason Thompson. Thompson currently has season numbers of 18 goals and five assists for 41 points. In two games last week, Thompson tallied 10 goals, including six against Belmont. He then recorded four scores against Vanderbilt.

Tulsa enters the game in a six-way tie with Bradley, Southwest Missouri State and TCU, Vanderbilt and Western Kentucky for fourth place in the MVC standings, while Eastern Illinois is tied with Creighton for second place. Friday's contest marks the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the soccer field. Tulsa senior Eric Dominguez leads the team in scoring with eight goals and four assists for 20 points.
