Prior to the 2000 campaign, Tulsa had finished no higher than third overall. TU not only earned a ticket to its fourth WAC Tournament in the last five years, but a first-round bye as well. TU Seniors Play Final Home Game On Sunday:
Tulsa's senior tandem of Kelly Noonan and Julie Davidson (St. Charles, Mo.) will don their Hurricane uniforms for the final time in front of the home crowd on Sunday.
Noonan, an all-WAC second team performer as a sophomore, ranks in the top-12 in every career scoring category. She is 12th in goals (17), seventh in assists (13) and 10th in scoring (47). Noonan has played in 73 games and has 68 starts.
Davidson, who has started 72 of 74 games played, has 11 goals and 11 assists for 33 points in her career. She ranks eighth among the school's career assists leaders. Davidson has four game-winning goals for her career and all four have come off either a free kick or corner kick. She was named the WAC Payer of the Week on Oct. 17.
McCormick Nearing Single-Season Assist Record:
Junior Melissa McCormick is just one assist shy of Tulsa's single-season assist record with six on the season. With her next assist, McCormick will tie seven other Hurricane players on the single-season list.
With 42 career points (16g/10a) Melissa McCormick moved into 12th place on TU's career scoring list. With 10 career assists, she needs one more to rank among the school's top-10 leaders, and her 16 goals puts her in a tie with former Hurricane Lori Morrow (1992-95) for 12th place.
With 13 career assists, Kelly Noonan needs just one more assist to catch Paige Mayer (1994-98), who is in sixth-place with 14.
