TU Women's Soccer Team Faces Top-Seeded SMU in C-USA Championship Quarterfinals

Tulsa, Okla. -The eighth-seeded Tulsa women's soccer team will take on top-seeded SMU on Wednesday, November 1st, beginning at 12 noon in the first round of the Conference USA Women's Soccer Championship, which is hosted by the Mustangs in Dallas.
Eight of the 12 C-USA teams advanced to the league tournament, which begins this Wednesday with first-round matches at noon, 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The semifinals are Friday at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with the final set for Sunday at 3:00 p.m. (CST). The final will be aired on CSTV.
TU (7-10-1, 3-5-1 C-USA) met SMU (15-3-1, 8-1 C-USA) earlier this season, but the Golden Hurricane dropped a 1-0 decision at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium on the Tulsa campus.
The Golden Hurricane will be led by freshman Megan Cash who has tallied eight goals and three assists for 19 points this season, as well as senior Katie Ward who has recorded 12 points this year. Ward has the second-most goals for TU with five.
