Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa men's soccer player Jake Dobkins and women's soccer player Claire Hulcer were named to the Capital One Academic All-America second and third teams, respectively, as announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Dobkins is TU's eighth men's soccer academic all-America honoree, while Hulcer is the Hurricane's first on the women's side.

Dobkins, a senior from St. Louis, Mo., maintains a 4.0 GPA in management. He was named to the Tulsa President's List as a freshman, and to the Dean's List as a sophomore and junior, was a Conference USA Academic Medal Winner the past three years, and was named to the C-USA All-Academic Soccer Team as a junior and senior. Dobkins also picked up Capital One Academic All-District VII first team accolades the last two seasons. Dobkins started all 21 games, had one goal and helped TU post eight shutouts this year.

A senior defender from St. Louis, Mo., Hulcer maintains a 3.959 GPA in marketing. She was named to the Tulsa Dean's List and was a C-USA Academic Medal winner as a sophomore and junior, and was tabbed to the C-USA All-Academic Soccer Team last season. Hulcer also picked up Capital One Academic All-District VII first team accolades the last two seasons. On the field, she had two goals and eight assists for 12 points, while helping TU record nine shutouts on the year.
