After being a four-year letterwinner for the Golden Hurricane, Kari Curtis returns as a member of the coaching staff as a student assistant.
Roaming in the outfield, Curtis played in 205 games with 181 starts. She finished her career with a school record 42 stolen bases. She led the team as a senior with a career-best 48 hits, and recorded an eight-game hitting streak. Curtis also owns the second most sacrifice hits in school history for a career with 31.
A native of Stillwater, Okla., Curtis was a two-time all-conference selection at Stillwater High School. She was also a member of the ASA Intensity softball team, that won the state championship in 1996, qualifying for the 18-and-under national tournament.
She is currently completeing her bachelor’s degree in exercise science.
