TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Junior Haley Henshaw hit a three-run home run in the top of the eighth inning, and junior Aimee Creger pitched a complete game to lead the Tulsa softball team to a 3-2 (8 inn.) victory at No. 25/21 Florida State Friday afternoon in the Unconquered Invitational at JoAnne Graf Field.

Creger (3-0) took a no-hitter into the eighth inning of the scoreless contest, and pitched 7.1 hitless frames. She struck out 13 batters and walked two in the game. With the win, the Golden Hurricane improved to 4-2 on the season.

Junior third baseman Jill Barrett reached on a one-out bunt single in the top of the eighth for the visiting Hurricane, and senior shortstop Samantha Cobb followed with a base hit to left field. After a fielder's choice by senior designated player Lacey Middlebrooks, Henshaw launched a 0-1 pitch over the right center field fence.

Creger put just two runners on base in regulation - a walk in each of the second and fourth innings. She had retired 11 straight batters from the end of the fourth to the beginning of the eighth frame before the Seminoles got their first hit.

FSU first baseman Victoria East hit a one-out single to center field, and third baseman Briana Hamilton followed with a two-run homer to center, making the score, 3-2. After one more single, Creger struck out the final two batters to close out the win.
