COLLEGE STATION, Texas - No. 15 Texas A&M scored five runs over the final three innings to defeat Tulsa, 5-1, Sunday afternoon in the Aggie Classic and the Aggie Softball Complex.

The Golden Hurricane (5-2) took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when junior center fielder Caitlin Everett singled down the left field line to score junior catcher Cassidy Bowen, who led off the inning with a walk. Senior designated player Jessica Stoelke and sophomore left fielder Cierra Hughes both singled to advance Bowen to third base.

Texas A&M took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Two one-out walks and an error loaded the bases, and a fielder's choice with ensuing error allowed Aggie third baseman Amber Garza to come around and score from second base. Shortstop Brittany Walker singled through the left side to score left fielder Emily Albus.

The Aggies added three more unearned runs in the sixth inning with two outs on an RBI single by first baseman Megan May and a two-run double by right fielder Sydney Shannon.

TU junior starter Lacey Middlebrooks pitched 5.2 innings allowing all five unearned runs and five hits, as the Hurricane committed its first three errors of the weekend. Sophomore Kalynn Schrock came in to retire the final batter.
