Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa softball team is predicted to finish fourth by the Conference USA coaches. Senior Sara Dyer and sophomore Jackie Lawrence were also selected to preseason All-Conference Team.

The Hurricane finished third in the league last season, with a 30-28 overall record and 13-10 during C-USA play. Starting six freshman for the first time in since 2002, the Hurricane posted its sixth consecutive winning record in 2007. Last season also marked the fourth consecutive season TU had posted double-figures in league wins.

Dyer led the country last season with 25 doubles, while earning a first-team All-C-USA selection as a junior. She is the first TU player to earn three straight first-team all-league honors in the history of the program. Dyer was also voted to the 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America First Team.

As a freshman, Lawrence was the first TU pitcher to record multiple no-hitters in the same season in addition to being the only C-USA hurler to have two no-hitters in 2007. An NFCA All-Midwest Region Second Team selection, she also earned National Player of the Week honors once during 2007.
