TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa senior Aimee Creger was named Conference USA Co-Pitcher of the Week after pitching a no-hitter and striking out 17 batters in a win over Creighton, the league office announced Monday.

The performance was the fifth career no-hitter for the Yukon, Okla. native. Her 17 strikeouts set a new school single game record, surpassing the previous record of 16 by Julie Fennel against UTEP on April 30, 2005. Creger walked just one batter in Friday's win over Creighton, and retired the remaining four outs via pop and fly out.

This is the third C-USA Pitcher of the Week award for Creger this season, and the 11th weekly award of her career.

Creger's no-hit shutout-win paced a 3-0 weekend for the 21st-ranked Golden Hurricane. TU pitchers allowed zero runs in 18.0 innings, while the offense put up 20 runs, as the Hurricane earned 3-0 and 8-0 wins over Creighton, and a 9-0 win over Northwestern State.
