Lawerence, Kan. - A rain and snow mix in the Lawrence area has forced the cancellation of day one of the Holiday Inn Invitational hosted by the Kansas softball team at Jayhawk Field. The four-team tournament is scheduled to resume tomorrow, Saturday, March 17, at 9 a.m.

The complete updated schedule for the 2001 Holiday Inn Invitational is as follows:

Saturday, March 17 -- Jayhawk Field
1.  9:00 a.m.    Loyola-Chicago vs. Tulsa
2.    11:15 a.m.    Loyola-Chicago vs. Western Michigan
3.    1:30 p.m.    Kansas vs. Western Michigan
4.    3:45 p.m.    Kansas vs. Tulsa

Sunday, March 18 -- Jayhawk Field
5.     9:00 a.m.    Tulsa vs. Western Michigan
6.    11:15 a.m.    Kansas vs. Loyola-Chicago
7.     1:30 p.m.    TBA -- consolation game
8. 3:45 p.m.    TBA -- championship game
