TULSA, Okla. - The 18th-ranked Tulsa softball team travels to Las Vegas this weekend for the UNLV Rebel Classic, where it will face off against UNLV, Texas Tech and Boise State at Eller Media Stadium.

Tulsa (23-5, 6-0 C-USA) is on its bye from Conference USA play this weekend. The Golden Hurricane opens the tournament against Texas Tech (25-9) at 4:30 p.m. Friday, and plays the host UNLV (12-17) at 6:15 p.m. The Hurricane plays UNLV at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, and Boise State (13-15) twice, 11 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., on Sunday. All times listed are Central Time Zone.

Tulsa hits .289 (225-for-779) with 127 RBI, 140 runs, 37 doubles, 10 triples and 16 home runs, and has a .424 slugging percentage and a .366 on-base percentage with 85 walks. The Hurricane has a 1.73 team ERA with 198 strikeouts, 77 walks, 136 hits, 63 runs and 47 earned runs allowed, and has a .197 opponent batting average.

Tulsa is led in hitting by junior third baseman Jill Barrett, who hits .406 (39-for-96) with 22 runs scored, 16 RBI, a .521 slugging percentage and a .448 OBP. Senior center fielder Caitlin Everett hits .365 (38-for-104) with 25 runs, a .413 slugging percentage and a .389 OBP. Junior Haley Henshaw hits .333 (25-for-75) with 21 RBI, two home runs, nine runs, a .480 slugging percentage and a .375 on-base percentage. Senior Lacey Middlebrooks hits .319 (22-for-69) with 11 runs, 15 RBI, four home runs, eight doubles, a .609 slugging percentage and a .440 OBP. Senior shortstop Samantha Cobb hits .292 (26-for-89) with 20 RBI, 19 runs, four homers, four triples, one double, a .528 slugging percentage and a .379 on-base percentage.

In the circle, junior Aimee Creger is 12-1 with a 0.83 ERA in 84.1 innings, and has allowed 51 hits, 14 runs and 10 earned runs, with 125 strikeouts and 28 walks. Middlebrooks is 9-2 with a 1.26 ERA in 77.2 innings, and has allowed 48 hits, 22 runs and 14 earned runs, with 54 strikeouts and 36 walks.

Tulsa and Texas Tech have played six times. Tulsa leads the series, 6-0. The teams last met in 2004, when the Golden Hurricane won 9-4 on a neutral field, and 5-2 at home. TU also won in 2000, and three times in 1996. Tulsa and UNLV have played 17 times. UNLV leads the series, 15-2. The Hurricane and Rebels last met in 2007, when UNLV took 3-2 and 8-4 victories in the season-opening tournament. The teams met 11 times as members of the WAC, from 1997-99. The two Golden Hurricane wins came in 1998, 2-1, and 1999, 13-2. This will be the first meeting between Tulsa and Boise State.
