TULSA, Okla. - The 18th-ranked Tulsa softball team returns to the friendly confines of the Collins Family Softball Complex to play host to UCF in a three-game Conference USA series Friday and Saturday.

Tulsa (26-7-1, 6-0 C-USA) and UCF (18-17, 1-8 C-USA) play a doubleheader Friday beginning at 1 p.m., and a single game at 11 a.m. Saturday. Live stats will be available for all three games at www.TulsaHurricane.com. Live video of Friday's doubleheader will be streamed on Hurricane Vision, and Saturday's contest will be televised by Fox Sports Network (Cox Cable Ch. 27/722 HD).

Softball Takes Series at UCF with 2-1 Win Sunday
Skylar Swanson and Julie Kernen each drove in a run to lead the Tulsa softball team to a 2-1 series-clinching victory at UCF Sunday at the UCF Softball Complex.


Tulsa hits .286 (271-for-948) with 158 RBI, 175 runs, 43 doubles, 11 triples and 20 home runs, and has a .418 slugging percentage and a .362 on-base percentage with 102 walks. The Hurricane has a 1.90 team ERA with 232 strikeouts, 101 walks, 173 hits, 84 runs and 62 earned runs allowed, and has a .208 opponent batting average.

Tulsa is led in hitting by junior third baseman Jill Barrett, who hits .402 (47-for-117) with 27 runs scored, 20 RBI, a .513 slugging percentage and a .441 OBP. Senior center fielder Caitlin Everett hits .349 (44-for-126) with 31 runs, a .389 slugging percentage and a .374 OBP. Senior Lacey Middlebrooks hits .330 (29-for-88) with 14 runs, 19 RBI, five home runs, 10 doubles, a .614 slugging percentage and a .443 OBP. Junior Haley Henshaw hits .316 (30-for-95) with 26 RBI, two home runs, 11 runs, a .432 slugging percentage and a .363 on-base percentage. Senior shortstop Samantha Cobb hits .312 (34-for-109) with 28 RBI, 24 runs, five homers, four triples, four doubles, a .560 slugging percentage and a .397 on-base percentage.

In the circle, junior Aimee Creger is 13-2 with a 0.91 ERA in 92.1 innings, and has allowed 59 hits, 16 runs and 12 earned runs, with 138 strikeouts and 33 walks Middlebrooks is 11-2 with a 1.38 ERA in 96.2 innings, and has allowed 63 hits, 30 runs and 19 earned runs, with 72 strikeouts and 51 walks.

UCF hits .231 (198-for-857) with 114 runs, 97 RBI, 28 doubles, nine home runs, a .295 slugging percentage, 91 walks and a .315 on-base percentage. The Knights pitching staff has a 2.64 ERA, allowing205 hits, 136 runs, 90 earned runs, 103 walks and a .233 opponent batting average. UCF pitchers have struck out 198 batters in 238.2 innings.

Tulsa and UCF have played 23 times. Tulsa leads the series, 14-9. The Golden Hurricane took two of three games in Orlando last season, and swept the last two series played in Tulsa, in 2009 and 2011. The Hurricane is 7-2 all-time against the Knights in Tulsa.
