TULSA, Okla. - The 17th-ranked Tulsa softball team plays host to UTEP for a three-game Conference USA series this weekend at the Collins Family Softball Complex. The teams play a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, and a single game at noon Sunday.

The first game of Saturday's doubleheader will be televised by Fox Sports Network, and televised live in Oklahoma on Fox Sports Oklahoma Plus (Cable Ch. 715). Live video for the second and third game of the series, and live stats for all three games will be available on www.TulsaHurricane.com.

Creger Tosses No-No, Sets Career Wins Record as TU Defeats UTEP, 8-0
Aimee Creger pitched a no-hitter and became Tulsa's all-time wins leader as the 25th-ranked Tulsa softball team completed the Conference USA weekend sweep with an 8-0 (5 inn.) victory at UTEP Sunday afternoon at the Helen of Troy Softball Complex.

The Golden Hurricane (29-3, 6-0 C-USA) has won 11 in a row and 17 of its last 18 games. The Miners (12-21, 4-5 C-USA) are 4-5 in their last nine games.

Tulsa is ranked No. 17 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 and No. 18 the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 and polls released March 25.

Tulsa hits .344 (300-for-872) with 181 RBI, 204 runs, 50 doubles, nine triples and 26 home runs, and has a .511 slugging percentage and a .421 on-base percentage with 109 walks. The Hurricane has a 1.16 team ERA with 251 strikeouts, 68 walks, 128 hits, 42 runs and 35 earned runs allowed, and has a .173 opponent batting average.

Tulsa is led in hitting by senior shortstop Jill Barrett, who has a .496 (57-for-115) batting average with 29 runs scored, 21 RBI, a .652 slugging percentage and a .528 OBP. Freshman DP Jill Roye hits .412 (28-for-68) with 10 runs, 22 RBI, a .603 slugging and a .487 OBP. Senior center fielder Cierra Hughes hits .359 (28-for-78) with 21 runs, five doubles, two triples, 19 RBI, a .513 slugging percentage and a .463 OBP. Junior catcher Erica Sampson hits .352 (32-for-91) with 21 RBI, 26 runs, five doubles, six homers, 19 walks, a .604 slugging and a .492 OBP. Senior right fielder Haley Henshaw is hitting .350 (28-for-80) with 23 RBI, 16 runs, seven doubles, three homers, a .550 slugging and a .429 OBP. Freshman third baseman Maggie Withee is hitting .356 (26-for-73) with 19 runs, two triples and a .413 OBP.

In the circle, senior Aimee Creger is 13-1 with a 1.12 ERA in 93.2 innings, and has allowed 43 hits, 17 runs and 15 earned runs, with 166 strikeouts and 49 walks. Junior Bailey Erwin is 9-0 with a 1.00 ERA in 63.0 innings with four saves, and is allowing 48 hits, 12 runs and nine earned runs with 43 strikeouts and seven walks. Sophomore Caitlin Sill is 7-2 with a 1.43 ERA in 54.0 innings, allowing 37 hits, 13 runs and 11 earned runs, with 42 strikeouts and 12 walks.

Tulsa and UTEP have played 33 times. Tulsa leads the series 28-5. The Golden Hurricane has won 10 in a row in the series dating back to 2010, and 15 of the last 16 meetings since 2009. The Miners last defeated Tulsa 4-2 in 2010 in Tulsa. TU is is 21-5 vs. UTEP since 2006.
