Tulsa senior infielder Jill Barrett was selected by the Akron Racers with the 15th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2014 National Pro Fastpitch College Draft on Monday night.

The four NPF teams selected players over five rounds in the draft.

Barrett, a native of Greenwood, Ark., is the Tulsa career hits leader with 284 hits, and has a career .398 batting average. She has started all 211 games during her career, and totaled 156 runs, 103 RBI, 29 doubles, seven triples, eight home runs, a .492 slugging percentage and a .443 on-base percentage.

A three-year starter at third base, Barrett moved over to shortstop this season. She is currently hitting .504 (63-for-125) with 32 runs, 22 RBI, 11 extra base hits, .648 slugging and a .537 on-base percentage.

Barrett was member of the NFCA All-Midwest Region team, the All-Conference USA first team and the C-USA All-Academic Team in each of the last two years.
