TULSA, Okla. - The 25th-ranked Tulsa softball team travels to Stillwater Wednesday for a midweek non-conference game at Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. at Cowgirl Softball Stadium.

Tulsa enters the game at 33-13-1 overall and 13-5 in C-USA play, while the Cowgirls come in at 26-21 overall and 4-8 in Big 12 play. Live stats and live video for the game will be available at www.TulsaHurricane.com. The Hurricane won the previous meeting this season, 5-1, in Tulsa back on March 6.

The 21st-ranked Tulsa softball team defeated Oklahoma State, 5-1, Wednesday evening at the Collins Family Softball Complex.


Tulsa hits .285 (368-for-1293) with 209 RBI, 230 runs, 56 doubles, 11 triples and 30 home runs, and has a .415 slugging percentage and a .363 on-base percentage with 143 walks. The Hurricane has a 1.93 team ERA with 330 strikeouts, 147 walks, 240 hits, 115 runs and 87 earned runs allowed, and has a .210 opponent batting average.

Tulsa is led in hitting by junior third baseman Jill Barrett, who hits .394 (63-for-160) with 36 runs scored, 25 RBI, a .494 slugging percentage and a .434 OBP. Senior center fielder Caitlin Everett hits .325 (55-for-169) with 38 runs, a .355 slugging percentage and a .363 OBP. Senior Lacey Middlebrooks hits .319 (37-for-116) with 18 runs, 24 RBI, six home runs, 11 doubles, 25 walks, a .569 slugging percentage and a .455 OBP. Junior Haley Henshaw hits .321 (42-for-131) with 36 RBI, four home runs, 17 runs, a .466 slugging percentage and a .362 on-base percentage. Senior shortstop Samantha Cobb hits .322 (49-for-152) with 40 RBI, 33 runs, eight homers, four triples, six doubles, a .572 slugging percentage and a .399 on-base percentage.

In the circle, junior Aimee Creger is 18-5 with a 1.05 ERA in 146.2 innings, and has allowed 98 hits, 27 runs and 22 earned runs, with 217 strikeouts and 51 walks. Middlebrooks is 13-3 with a 1.65 ERA in 119.0 innings, and has allowed 80 hits, 44 runs and 28 earned runs, with 85 strikeouts and 75 walks.

 

 

Oklahoma State hits .257 (308-for-1199) with 193 runs, 178 RBI, 57 doubles, three triples, 31 home runs, 155 walks, a .387 slugging percentage and a .349 on-base percentage. The Cowgirls pitchers carry a 2.29 ERA with 325 strikeouts, 96 walks, 251 hits, 130 runs, 102 earned runs and a .215 opponent batting average in 312.1 innings.

This will be the 38th meeting between Tulsa and Oklahoma State. OSU leads the series, 26-11. The Cowgirls won four in a row in the series prior to this season, including a 7-4 win in Tulsa, and an 8-3 win in Stillwater in 2012. The Golden Hurricane last defeated OSU in Stillwater, 6-2, in 2010.
