TULSA, Okla. - The 15th-ranked Tulsa softball team concludes its four-game road swing with a non-conference road contest against Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cowgirl Stadium in Stillwater, Okla.

The Golden Hurricane (41-5, 15-2 C-USA) has won four in a row and six of its last seven games. The Cowgirls (24-20, 4-9 Big 12) dropped two of three against No. 14 Baylor last weekend. The game will be audio broadcast on www.TulsaHurricane.com, and live stats will also be available on the Tulsa Athletics website.

Creger, Balanced Offense Leads No. 25 Softball to 8-2 Win at Oklahoma State
Aimee Creger struck out 12 batters, and a balanced offensive attack pounded 11 hits as Tulsa defeated Oklahoma State, 8-2, Wednesday evening at Cowgirl Softball Stadium.

The Hurricane is ranked No. 15 in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 and No. 18 the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 and polls released April 22.

Tulsa hits .342 (434-for-1270) with 265 RBI, 295 runs, 63 doubles, 15 triples and 46 home runs, and has a .524 slugging percentage and a .419 on-base percentage with 154 walks. The Hurricane has a 1.51 team ERA with 361 strikeouts, 113 walks, 201 hits, 87 runs and 66 earned runs allowed, and has a .184 opponent batting average.

Tulsa is led in hitting by senior shortstop Jill Barrett, who has a .476 (79-for-166) batting average with 44 runs scored, seven doubles, 25 RBI, a .620 slugging percentage and a .514 OBP. Freshman DP Jill Roye hits .383 (36-for-94) with 15 runs, 32 RBI, a .617 slugging and a .473 OBP. Senior center fielder Cierra Hughes hits .371 (43-for-116) with 32 runs, five doubles, three triples, four homers, 29 RBI, a .569 slugging percentage and a .483 OBP. Junior catcher Erica Sampson hits .341 (46-for-135) with 31 RBI, 38 runs, seven doubles, nine homers, 25 walks, a .593 slugging and a .477 OBP. Freshman third baseman Maggie Withee is hitting .364 (40-for-110) with 25 runs, 11 RBI, two doubles, three triples and a .407 OBP. Senior right fielder Haley Henshaw is hitting .325 (38-for-117) with 29 RBI, 22 runs, seven doubles, five homers, a .513 slugging and a .402 OBP.



In the circle, senior Aimee Creger is 21-1 with a 1.17 ERA in 149.2 innings, and has allowed 70 hits, 30 runs and 25 earned runs, with 258 strikeouts and 72 walks. Junior Bailey Erwin is 11-2 with a 1.45 ERA in 82.0 innings with four saves, and is allowing 75 hits, 26 runs and 17 earned runs with 51 strikeouts and 12 walks. Sophomore Caitlin Sill is 9-2 with a 2.28 ERA in 73.2 innings, allowing 56 hits, 29 runs and 24 earned runs, with 52 strikeouts and 26 walks.

This will be the 39th meeting between Tulsa and Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State leads the series 26-12. The Golden Hurricane claimed both meetings last season, winning 5-1 in Tulsa and 8-2 in Stillwater. The Cowgirls won four in a row in the series prior to last season, including a 7-4 win in Tulsa, and an 8-3 win in Stillwater in 2012 OSU won 2-0 in Tulsa in 2011. The teams split in 2010; TU won 6-2 in Stillwater and OSU won 3-1 in Tulsa. The Hurricane won the only meeting in 2006, the Cowgirls won the only meeting in 2007 and 2008, and won two of three in 2009. TU is 5-8 vs. OSU since 2006.
