TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa senior Cassidy Bowen was named Conference USA Hitter of the Week, and junior Aimee Creger earned the Pitcher of the Week award after leading the Tulsa softball team to four wins last week, the league office announced Monday.

Bowen hit .625 with a 1.375 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage, while Creger was dominant in three outings, going 3-0 with a 0.41 ERA and 25 strikeouts to earn three of the four Tulsa wins over Missouri State, and a conference sweep of Southern Miss.

Creger, who hails from Yukon, Okla., allowed just one run in 17.0 innings, giving up just four walks and nine hits. She pitched 15 straight scoreless innings during the week. In the Game 1 win over Southern Miss, Creger struck out 13 batters in 5.0 innings, pitching a one-hit shutout. The other two outs were ground outs. Sunday against Southern Miss, she struck out five batters and scattered five hits with one walk, allowing the only run of the week in the sixth inning. Against Missouri State on Wednesday, she pitched a three-hit shutout and struck out seven batters in 5.0 innings.

Bowen, a catcher from Claremore, Okla., was 5-for-8 at the plate, hit a home run and three doubles, and recorded four RBI and scored five runs in a win over Missouri State and a Conference USA sweep of Southern Miss. She also recorded 24 putouts and two assists in the field without an error. Bowen went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and scored a run in Game 1 vs. Southern Miss. She was 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs scored in Game 2. Sunday, she doubled and walked in three plate appearances. Wednesday against Missouri State, she came off the bench and scored the clinching run of the 8-0, five-inning victory.

This is Bowen's first C-USA Hitter of the Week award, and the eighth C-USA weekly pitcher award of Creger's career and fourth this season.
