The University of Tulsa softball coach Lori Castellano has announced her resignation, announced athletic director Judy MacLeod. Castellano recently completed her third season at Tulsa.

Castellano guided her squad to an overall 20-32 record this past season. The 20-victories was the third time in the history of the program that a Hurricane team had reached the 20-win plateau. The Golden Hurricane finished the 2000 season with a 7-9 record and in fifth place in the WAC.

In three seasons at TU, Castellano compiled an overall 49-102 record for the Hurricane. She was only the second coach for the eight-year program.
