Kelcy Tefft is currently in her second season as an assistant coach with the women's tennis program. She assists with the everyday operations of the Michael D. Case Tennis Center and has a key role in the administration of events hosted by the facility.
In her first season with the team, she helped guide TU to a 22-6 record and a Conference USA Championship. The Golden Hurricane finished 9-6 against ranked opponents and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Tefft, a native of Enid, Okla., earned two bachelor's degrees in sociology and computer applications from The University of Notre Dame in 2009 and is currently working towards her master's degree in business administration.
At Notre Dame, Tefft was a two-time All-American, two-time NCAA Singles Championship selection, two-time NCAA Doubles Championship selection, 2007 ITA National Indoor Doubles champion, 2009 ITA National Senior Player of the Year and 2009 BIG EAST Player of the Year. She was also a member of two NCAA Championship semifinalist teams and three BIG EAST Championship teams.
Tefft finished her senior season in 2008-09 as a part of the No. 2-ranked doubles team in the nation with partner Kristy Frilling and as the 32nd-ranked singles player in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. As a junior, Tefft completed the season ranked No. 3 in the final ITA national doubles poll with teammate Brook Buck and was ranked No. 56 in the final national singles poll. She was also a BIG EAST All-Tournament team selection in both singles and doubles as a freshman, sophomore and junior.
