TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa women's tennis team went 9-1 in the final day of the Hurricane Invite on Sunday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

The Golden Hurricane finished the tournament with a 26-2 record in singles matches and with a 10-1 record in doubles matches during the tournament.

TU won four singles draw with 3-0 records, tied one singles draw with a 2-1 record and had another draw where three TU players went 3-0.

Isaura Enrique defeated Alexis Thoma of North Texas 6-1, 6-1 to tie Jessica Parizher of Wyoming with a 2-1 record in the silver draw.

Renata Kuricova, Marcelina Cichon and Carol Benito won their singles match to go 3-0 in the gold draw. Kuricova defeated Dane Joubert of North Texas 6-2, 6-3, while Cichon defeated Faith Atiso of North Texas 6-0, 6-0 and Carol Benito defeated Alma Espinosa of Wyoming 6-2, 6-4.

Rongrong Leenabanchong fell to Christa Gecheva of Wyoming 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (5) to record a 2-1 record in the black draw.

Saana Saarteinen defeated Agustina Valenzuela of North Texas 6-0, 6-4 to win the green draw with a 3-0 record.

Maria Sant'Anna defeated Ana Sofia Cordero of North Texas 6-2, 6-3 to win the white draw with a 3-0 record.

The Golden Hurricane starts the team competition on Saturday against BYU at 9:30 a.m. and Oral Roberts at 5 p.m. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
