TU Women's Tennis Team Falls, 4-3, to 66th-Ranked Kansas State

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa's 72nd-ranked women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought, 4-3, decision to 66th-ranked Kansas State University on Thursday afternoon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the TU campus. The Golden Hurricane own a 6-3 mark this season.
Tulsa junior Santie Delport and freshman Thalia Diaz-Barriga combined for an 8-3 victory in the No. 1 doubles position, but the Wildcats came away with wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 slots for the doubles point.
In singles action, TU senior Daniela Muscolino tallied a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Tamar Kvaratskhelia in the No. 1 position, as Delport notched a 6-1, 6-4 mark in the No. 2 slot over Jessica Simosa. Diaz-Barriga and junior Kindsay Grimes dropped their matches, 6-3, 6-4, at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions, respectively.
The Golden Hurricane will host 75th-ranked Kansas on Sunday, February 26 at 12 noon.
