Tulsa Tops North Texas, 6-1

DENTON, Texas - The University of Tulsa women's tennis team defeated North Texas 6-1 Sunday at Waranch Tennis Complex.
The No. 30-ranked Golden Hurricane (12-2) won the doubles point and captured five of six singles matches over the Green Wave (2-8).
Junior Bonny Davidson and sophomore Michelle Farley defeated Amy Joubert and Paula Dinuta 8-1 from the third position, and juniors Anastasia Erofeeva and Ewa Szatkowska secured the doubles point with an 8-3 win over Nadia Lee and Madura Ranganathan at No. 2.
Freshman Sam Vickers kicked off singles play with a 6-1, 6-0 victory from the bottom of the lineup, and Erofeeva picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win over Dinuta at No. 2. Karaitiana played at No. 5 and defeated Joubert 6-2, 6-3. Szatkowska won at No. 4 over Lee 6-4, 7-5.
Farley took down Vykydalova 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5) from the third position, and Kichoutkin lost to Paraschiv at No. 1 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 1-0 (10-8).
The Golden Hurricane returns to Case Tennis Center for a 5 p.m. meeting March 11 against Oklahoma State.
