TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa women's tennis team snapped its 51-match home winning streak as No. 19 Tulsa (11-3) fell to No. 18 Oklahoma (10-2) 4-3 on Wednesday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

The Golden Hurricane won the doubles point for the 12th time this season as senior Maria Sant'Anna and freshman Rongrong Leenabanchong won 8-5 at the No. 1 doubles position and No. 79 sophomore Renata Kuricova and freshman Marcelina Cichon won 8-6 at the No. 2 doubles position.

Oklahoma took a 3-1 lead after winning at the No. 5, No. 4 and No. 6 singles position, but Tulsa cut OU's lead to 3-2 after No. 79 Samantha Vickers' 6-3, 7-6 (5) win at the No. 1 singles position.

Cichon, who fell at the No. 5 singles position, lost her first match in the dual competition and to snap her 16-match winning streak. Cichon has posted a 24-4 record this season, including a 13-1 record in dual matches.

Freshman Yelena Nemchen's 6-4, 7-5 win at the No. 3 singles position tied the match at three, but Oklahoma won the final match at the No. 2 singles position.

Nemchen continued her winning streak to seven matches and has posted a 16-4 record this season, including an 8-2 record in dual matches at the No. 3 singles position.

The Golden Hurricane travels to California for two matches as TU faces host San Jose State on Friday at noon and host No. 16 California on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
