TULSA, Okla. - The No. 26-ranked University of Tulsa women's tennis team defeated No. 43 Arkansas 7-0 Wednesday afternoon at Case Tennis Center.

The Golden Hurricane (18-3) won its eighth-consecutive match, while the Razorbacks (10-12) lost their fifth in a row. Tulsa extended its home win streak to 34 straight matches.

Tulsa opened play by sweeping the doubles point. Senior Bonny Davidson and sophomore Samantha Vickers were the first off court as they topped Stephanie Roy and Emily Carbone 8-3 on the second court.

The No. 89-ranked senior duo of Anastasia Erofeeva and Ewa Szatkowska clinched the doubles point with an 8-5 triumph over Claudine Paulson and Laurie Gingras at the top of the lineup.

Junior Michelle Farley and sophomore Maria Sant'Anna made it a clean sweep with an 8-4 victory over Catherine Parenteau and Kate Lukomskaya at the third position.

Szatkowska put Tulsa on top 2-0 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Paulson at the third court to open singles action. Freshman Isaura Enrique blanked Gingras 6-0, 6-0 on the fourth court, and No. 70-ranked Erofeeva gave Tulsa the team victory with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Roy at the first position.

Sant'Anna defeated Parenteau 6-4, 6-3 on the sixth court, and No. 67-ranked Vickers topped Carbone 6-3, 6-2 at the second flight. Farley closed proceedings with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Lukomskaya at the fifth position.

Vickers picked up her 29th singles win of the season, which ties her for eighth all-time in Tulsa history for single-season singles victories. Her and Enrique are both on eight-match win streaks in singles play.



Erofeeva extended her school records in combined wins (212) and doubles wins (104). She now has 108 singles victories, which is one shy of tying for second all-time in school history.

The Golden Hurricane will celebrate Senior Day in the last match of the regular season at 1 p.m. April 15 at Case Tennis Center. The team will honor Erofeeva, Szatkowska, Davidson and Caroline Beaulieu.

TU will play host to No. 56 Memphis, who will serve as the host of the Conference USA Championship April 19-22.
