Tulsa Women's Tennis Wins Two Doubles Titles at Razorback Invitational

Fayetteville, Ark. - The University of Tulsa women's tennis team won both doubles titles on Sunday at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. JoAnne Karaitiana and Alexandra Kichoutkin captured the North Doubles championship, and Anastasia Erofeeva and Ewa Szatkowska won the South Doubles championship.
Karaitiana and Kichoutkin defeated Arkansas' Kate Lokumskaya and Kelsey Sundaram, 8-6, to win the North Doubles crown with a perfect 3-0 record for the tournament. Erofeeva and Szatkowska dominated Emily Carbone and Valentina Starkova of Arkansas, 8-1, in the South Doubles final, completing the weekend with an identical 3-0 record.
In singles action, 118th-ranked Alexandra Kichoutkin fell to 59th-ranked Anouk Tigu of Arkansas, 6-1, 6-0, in the Red Singles final, and Marta Marcinkowska lost a 6-4, 6-3 decision to Arkansas' Kate Lukomskaya in the White Singles final.
It is the second-straight tournament that the Golden Hurricane has won multiple flight titles. Tulsa claimed five flight championships at the Memphis Invitational on Sept. 20.
The women's tennis team returns to action on Oct. 21-25 at the ITA Regional Championships in Norman, Okla.
