Memphis Collegiate Invite Get Acrobat Reader

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Tulsa women's tennis team won three draws at the Memphis Collegiate Invite on Sunday and went 5-2 in the singles matches and 3-0 in doubles matches.

Senior Samantha Vickers defeated Skylar Kuykendall of Memphis 6-0, 6-7 (2), 6-2 on Sunday to be co-champions of the Blue Draw with Ana Pimienta of Marquette, who defeated junior Isaura Enrique 2-6, retired due to injury.

Freshman Rongrong Leenabanchong defeated Stefanie Mikesz of Memphis 6-1, 6-3 to be the White Draw champion on Sunday, while senior Maria Sant'Anna defeated Alexa Flynn of Chattanooga 6-4, 7-5 on Sunday for third place of the White Draw.

The doubles team of Sant'Anna and Saarteinen defeated Vanessa Foltinger and Laia Hernandez Soler of Marquette 8-2 on Sunday to be the Gray Draw champions.

Sophomore Renata Kuricova defeated Anki Wind of Memphis 7-5, 6-4 for third place in the Gray Draw on Sunday, while sophomore Saana Saarteinen fell to Caroline Wegner of Memphis 6-2, 6-1 in the championship of the Gray Draw on Sunday.

Sophomore Carol Benito defeated Ramona Costea of Miami, OH 6-1, 6-4 on Sunday in the consolation final of the Black Draw.

The doubles team of Vickers and Enrique defeated Pimienta and Erin Gebes of Marquette 8-5 for third place in the Blue Draw on Sunday, while Kuricova and Leenabanchong defeated Rocio Diaz and Ali Dawson 8-5 on Sunday.
