Tulsa Wins 4 On Final Day
Nov. 6, 2011 MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Tulsa wrapped up play Sunday at the Racquet Club at the Memphis Collegiate Invitational. Junior Michelle Farley defeated Kelly Gray of Memphis 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the Gray Consolation Draw. Sophomore Maria Sant'Anna fell to Emily Zabor of Alabama 6-3, 6-1 and freshman Isaura Enrique lost to Laurie Gingras of Arkansas 6-4, 6-3. Senior Ewa Szatkowska picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win in the Blue Consolation Draw over Iris Verboven of Ole Miss, while senior Bonny Davidson lost 6-4, 6-3 to Courtney McLane of Alabama in the same draw. Szatkowska teamed with fellow senior Anastasia Erofeeva to defeat Gingras and Catherine Parenteau 8-2 in the consolation doubles draw. Farley and Sant'Anna defeated Susan McRann and Hailey Johnson of Arizona 8-4. Davidson and Enrique fell in the doubles semifinals 8-5 to Natasha Marks and Kim Stubbe of Arizona, and they also lost 8-6 in the consolation bracket to Courtney Collins and Kelly Gray of Memphis.
