No. 34 Tulsa Women's Tennis Team to Play Double-Header on Saturday

Tulsa, Okla. - The 34th-ranked Tulsa women's tennis team is back at home to play a double-header against Arkansas State and Seminole State on Saturday, February 7 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Hurricane faces Arkansas State at 8:30 a.m. and Seminole State at 4:00 p.m.
Tulsa returns to the Case Tennis Center after spending the past two weeks on the road, including last weekend at Northwestern University for the opening rounds of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships.
The Hurricane enters Saturday's matches with a 4-2 record, which includes a win over 54th-ranked Washington State in the first round of the National Indoors. Tulsa's losses have come against 14th-ranked Arkansas and top-ranked Northwestern on the road.
Tulsa has used solid performances from its freshmen this season, highlighted by Anastasia Erofeeva and Caroline Beaulieu. Erofeeva leads the team with a 12-3 singles record including a 4-1 mark from the No. 5 and 6 positions this duel season. Beaulieu has posted a 7-6 singles record including a 4-2 mark in the duel season.
Arkansas State owns a 0-1 record this season after dropping a 4-3 decision to Texas-Arlington on Jan. 23. The Red Wolves had their match against Mississippi on Jan. 27 postponed, and their match against Lamar on Jan. 31 cancelled due to severe weather.
Seminole State enters with a 1-1 record this season and is led by sophomore Barbara Oliveira who has an 11-1 singles record and a 5-1 doubles mark this season.
Tulsa will play next against 70th-ranked Oklahoma State on Feb. 13, followed by a match against 42nd-ranked Louisville on Feb. 15 at the Case Tennis Center.
