TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa women's tennis team hosts SMU on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

No. 26 Golden Hurricane holds a 6-5 advantage over No. 75 SMU (1-3) under head coach Dean Orford and is riding a 47-match winning streak at the Case Tennis Center, including a 2-0 record this season.

The Golden Hurricane moved up two spots from No. 28 to No. 26 after the International Tennis Association Poll released its poll on Tuesday and TU has two singles players ranked - Senior Samantha Vickers at No. 69 and freshman Yelena Nemchen at No. 94.

Freshman Marcelina Cichon holds the longest winning streak for the Hurricane as she has won her last 10 matches and is 7-0 at the No. 6 singles position this season in team competition.

Sophomore Renata Kuricova is also on a streak as she has won her last eight matches and is 4-0 this season in team competition, 1-0 at the No. 4 singles position and 3-0 at the No. 5 singles position.

The Golden Hurricane has won the last four matches, including road victories against No. 31 Oklahoma State, 4-3, and No. 30 Purdue, 5-2.

Vickers needs two wins to record the sixth most doubles wins in school history as she has 78 career doubles wins.

The Golden Hurricane concludes its three-match homestand against North Texas on Friday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. and Kansas State on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m.
