Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa Golden Hurricane women's tennis team returns to action this Friday when it hosts defending Western Athletic Conference champion, 33rd-ranked TCU, at 1:00 p.m. at the Harwell Tennis Courts on the TU campus. Should inclement weather arise, the match will be moved indoors at the Tulsa Southern Tennis Courts and will begin at 1:00 p.m.

TU (6-0) and TCU (2-2) split its two matches a year ago. The Hurricane won the regular season match, 5-4, in Fort Worth, but lost the 2000 WAC Championship, 5-3.

Tulsa is off to its best start in school history at 6-0. The Hurricane is 1-0 against the nation's top-75 teams and 5-0 vs. unranked teams. Over the past two seasons, the Hurricane has a combined record of 27-6 (.818), and a home mark of 15-3 (.833) over the last three seasons.

In this week's WingspanBank.com Collegiate Tennis Rankings, Tulsa is the 28th-ranked team in the nation. The Golden Hurricane is the highest nationally-ranked team in both the WAC and Central Region. Fresno State is the next highest ranked team in the conference at No. 30, while Oklahoma State trails Tulsa in the Central Region at No. 29.
