No. 21 Women's Tennis Hosts No. 44 Wichita State on Saturday at Noon

TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa women's tennis team is back in action against Wichita State on Saturday at noon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Senior Samantha Vickers moved up two spots in the International Tennis Association poll released on Tuesday from No. 79 to No. 77. Vickers has posted a 21-7 record this season, including a 10-3 record in dual matches at the No. 1 singles position.
The Lincolnshire, England native has posted a 2-1 record against nationally ranked opponents and a 6-3 record against regionally ranked opponents. Vickers ranks fourth in school history with 106 career singles wins and sixth with 83 career doubles wins.
Freshman Yelena Nemchen returned to the rankings to No. 115. The Karaganda, Kazakhstan native has posted a 16-5 record this season, including an 8-3 record in dual matches.
No. 21 Golden Hurricane (12-4) fell two spots in the ITA poll after failing to host No. 16 California 7-0 on last Tuesday.
Under head coach Dean Orford, the Golden Hurricane has posted a 5-2 record against No. 44 Wichita State (11-5).
The Golden Hurricane has only lost three doubles point in 16 matches this season. Tulsa lost the doubles point against host No. 31 Oklahoma State, host No. 30 Purdue and host No. 16 California.
The Golden Hurricane travels to Louisville, Ky., for two matches next weekend. Tulsa faces William and Mary on Saturday, April 5 at 11 a.m. and host Louisville on Sunday, April 6 at 11 a.m.
