TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa women's tennis team travels to Louisville, Ky., to face William and Mary on Saturday at 11 a.m. and host No. 49 Louisville on Sunday at 11 a.m.

The Golden Hurricane (13-4) has only lost three doubles matches in 17 matches this season. Host No. 31 Oklahoma State, host No. 30 Purdue and host No. 16 California are the three teams that has won the doubles point over the Hurricane.

The Golden Hurricane is coming off a 6-1 win over No. 44 Wichita State on Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Tulsa lost five of six first sets and had three singles matches where TU was down 5-1, 5-2 and 4-0. But the Hurricane battled back in each of those sets to win the second set and went on to win the third set.

With the victory, the Golden Hurricane moved up two spots from No. 21 to No. 19 in the International Tennis Association Poll released on Tuesday.

Freshman Marcelina Cichon has recorded 26 wins this season, which is tied for the fifth most by a freshman in school history.

The three freshmen of Cichon, No. 115 Yelena Nemchen and Rongrong Leenabanchong have posted a 60-16 (.790), including a 28-7 (.800) record in dual matches. Cichon has posted a 26-5 overall record, including a 15-2 record in dual matches, while Nemchen has posted a 16-5 overall record and an 8-3 record in dual matches and Leenabanchong has posted an 18-6 overall record and a 5-2 record in dual matches.

Sophomore Renata Kuricova leads the Golden Hurricane with a 26-4 record in doubles, including a 15-1 record in dual matches and is second on the team with a 21-8 record in singles, including an 8-4 record in dual matches.

The Golden Hurricane doubles duo of Kuricova and Cichon has posted an 11-0 record this season in team competition, including an 8-0 record at the No. 3 doubles position.

Kuricova has posted a 50-15 (.769) in doubles in her two seasons and a 39-16 (.709) career record in singles, including a 21-6 (.778) record in dual competition.

The Golden Hurricane returns home for its final home match of the season against Memphis on Saturday, April 12 at noon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
