The draws for the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championship were announced Tuesday.

Junior Samantha Vickers, ranked No. 18 in the latest ITA Rankings, will face No. 29th-ranked Hanna Mar of Duke on Wednesday, May 22 in a 9 a.m. tilt.

Vickers holds a 31-4 record in singles play, including a 21-3 ledger during spring competition. She has an 11-3 mark against ranked opponents and had a 17-match winning streak snapped during the first round of the NCAA Team Championship. Vickers was named the Conference USA Player of the Year.

The winner of the match will face either No. 17 Sofie Oyen of Florida or No. 44 Stefanie Tan of TCU in the second round.

Vickers along with sophomore Isaura Enrique will compete in doubles action on Thursday, May 23, against Stanford’s Kristie Ahn and Nicole Gibbs.  The time for the match will be released on Wednesday.

The Tulsa tandem, listed at No. 15 in the ITA Rankings, achieved a 34-4 ledger this season, including a 21-3 record during the spring season. The duo picked up 11 wins against ranked opponents and is riding a 10-match winning streak heading into the tournament. Vickers and Enrique advanced to the quarterfinals of the USTA/ITA National Indoor Championship, and achieved a program-best ranking of No. 9 earlier this year.

Ahn and Gibbs are a part of No. 12 Stanford’s No. 1 doubles team that will be vying for a team national championship today against No. 3 Texas A&M. The duo hold an 18-4 record and are ranked No. 8 in the country.

The victor of the contest will advance to the round of 16 to face either No. 19 Breaunna Addison and Noel Scott of Texas, or No. 31 Jacqueline Cako and Nicole Smith of Arizona State.
