TULSA, Okla. -

The University of Tulsa women's tennis team finished with a 17-6 record and a final team ranking of No. 25 in the International Tennis Associational poll.

The Golden Hurricane posted an 11-6 record against nationally ranked opponents and has been ranked as high as No. 17 on Feb. 25, which is the highest ranking in school history.

The Golden Hurricane had two All-Conference USA Singles First Team with freshman Marcelina Cichon and sophomore Renata Kuricvoa, two All-C-USA Singles Second Team with senior Maria Sant'Anna and freshman Rongrong Leenabanchong and an All-C-USA Doubles First team with Cichon and Kuricova.

 

 

Cichon lead the Golden Hurricane with a 31-6 record, including a 20-3 record in dual competition. Her 31 wins is tied for the fifth most in school history and tied for second most in school history by a freshman.

Sant'Anna, Kuricova and Leenanbanchong each recorded 22 wins. Sant'Anna posted a 22-13 record, including a 12-6 record in dual competition, Kuricova posted a 22-12 record, including a 9-8 record in dual competition and Leenabanchong posted a 22-7 record, including a 9-3 record in dual competition.

Freshman Yelena Nemchen, who has been ranked as high as No. 46 this season, has posted a 16-10 record this season, including an 8-8 record in dual competition.

The three freshman posted a 69-23 (.750) singles record, including a 37-14 (.726) in dual competition this season.

Kuricova lead the Golden Hurricane with a 27-8 record in doubles, including a 16-5 record in dual competition. Sant'Anna has posted a 22-11 doubles record, including a 10-8 record in dual competition, while Leenabanchong has posted a 19-13 doubles record, including an 8-10 record in dual competition.
