Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa senior Jennifer DeSpain became the school's all-time winningest singles player with her 6-1, 6-0, victory over Whitney Wells of San Diego State. DeSpain's win was her 74th career singles win. She surpassed former Hurricane two-time All-American Anousjka van Exel's (1997-99) career mark of 73.

DeSpain captured three singles matches to advance to the semifinals at the San Diego/San Diego State Invitational, Sept. 29 - Oct. 1 in San Diego, Calif. In the semifinals, DeSpain fell to eventual champion Katja Karrento of San Diego State, 6-1, 6-3.

DeSpain is 3-1 on the season and boasts a career record of 76-38, a winning percentage of .667.

TU sophomore Aleksandra Durska and junior Bianca Posada each won two singles matches, but both suffered losses in the quarterfinal rounds.

In doubles action, Durska and Posada advanced to the semifinals of the doubles flight before falling to the eventual runners-up from Kansas.
