TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa men's and women's tennis teams hosted their annual Tulsa Public Schools - First Serve Program Tuesday morning at Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

On hand for the annual event was TU men's coach Vince Westbrook, TU women's coach Dean Orford and select staff members and players for both teams.

"We've been doing this six years running now, and we enjoy bringing the kids out here during a school day to show them a great time," Westbrook said. "We usually average between 500 and 600 kids, and this gives us an opportunity to showcase our facilities, our players and our staff to a lot of kids that have never been around tennis."

The morning began with Tulsa student-athletes and coaches giving lessons to all of the participants. Rain in the Tulsa area did not stop about 550 students who attended the sixth-annual event.

Excitement filled the air for the grand finale came when the students were treated to a mixed doubles match between four current and former stars.
