Women's Tennis Travels to Orlando for the USTA Collegiate Clay Courts

TULSA, Okla. - Four University of Tulsa women's tennis players compete in the USTA Collegiate Clay Courts in Orlando, Fla., starting on Thursday.
The Hurricane is coming off a weekend where TU players won 20 singles matches and eight doubles matches at the USTA/ITA Central Region in Norman, Okla., last weekend.
Nemchen fell in the semifinals of the singles main draw and went 4-1 during her first collegiate tournament. Cichon and Kuricova both went 5-1 during the tournament, while Saarteinen went 2-1.
Cichon faces Josephine Harladson of Central Florida at 8:30 a.m., Kuricova faces Kristina Schliech of Florida State at 7 a.m., Nemchen, ranked No. 9-16, faces Mia Horvit of USTA at 9 a.m. and Saarteinen faces Carl Tur Mari of Oklahoma State at 7 a.m. on Thursday on ESPN.
Nemchen and Cichon are ranked No. 5-8 in doubles and receive a first round bye. The duo faces the winner of UCF's doubles team of Courtney Griffith and Courtney Cesarini or FSU's doubles team of Laurence Porry and Eduarda dos Santos. The duo went 2-1 at the USTA/ITA Central Region last weekend.
Saarteinen and Kuricova face Schleich and Majelena Pedersen of Florida State at 2:30 on ESPN on Thursday. The duo went 2-1 at the USTA/ITA Central Region.
After the USTA Collegiate Clay Court Tournament, the Golden Hurricane travels to Memphis, Tenn., for the Memphis Collegiate Invite from Nov. 1-3.
