Making the transition from player to coach is Nathalia Araujo. After having played for the Golden Hurricane for two seasons, the former outside hitter will enter her first year as a member of the coaching staff.

The native of Fortaleza, Brazil, Araujo led the Hurricane in digs in two seasons at TU, leading the squad in 21 matches during her tenure a a player.

She started 46 matches for TU, while playing in 209 games. Araujo finished with 767 career digs, after setting a single-season record with 405 digs as a junior. She currently ranks fourth all-time at TU for digs in a career.

Araujo transferred to TU from Frank Phillips College. She was a two-time all-region selection for the Lady Plainsmen, including the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore. A two-time team MVP, she helped lead FPC to a 30-6 record, a conference championship and a berth in the regional championship match as a sophomore.
