Position:
Assistant Coach

Wayne Chadwick coached at Tulsa for three years (2007-09). In addition to his concentration on coaching the middle hitters for TU's attack and defense, Chadwick was responsible for skill development.

Chadwick has 28 years of experience as a player and coach. He had previous coaching experience at the high school and college levels. Most recently, Chadwick served as head coach at Manchester College, an NCAA Division III school in North Manchester, Ind., from 2003-06.

In each of his seasons with the Spartans, Chadwick was able to improve the team's wins. In the four years prior to his arrival, Manchester had a winning percentage of .180. During his four seasons, Chadwick improved that percentage by nearly 300 points. He left Manchester ranked second on the school's career charts for wins and winning percentage. It was the first time in almost 30 years that Manchester posted four consecutive seasons with double-digit victories.

At the club level, Chadwick has twice led a team to the medal podium at national championship tournaments, including a bronze medal at the USA Volleyball Junior Olympics and a bronze medal at the AAU Nationals. Chadwick coached club teams in Ohio and Illinois, including the Maverick Volleyball Club, the Sports Performance Volleyball Club and the Chicagoland Volleyball Club. His high school squads never won fewer matches than they won the prior season, improving by an average of seven victories per season.

Chadwick played in four USA Volleyball Club Championships during his post-collegiate playing career, which included winning a silver medal in 2000. He played four years at Wisconsin-Whitewater, and while in college, Chadwick also assisted the head coach at UWW for two seasons. He graduated from UWW in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in speech/communication.

He and his wife, Maryhelen, have three children: daughter Maura, and sons Aidan and John.
